did you see the periscope inside the oven at :06? go to :05 and hit play/pause rapidly until it shows the inside of the oven and you will see the periscope...

ok, here's my theory: the graphics people made a periscope at first, to give Hal his eye. someone either said "that's a mixed metaphor; is it an oven or is it some kind of submarine? it's cleaner without it" or perhaps "that's just going too far in the phallic direction, reel it in guys" and they settled on leaving it in as a one-frame "subliminal" joke.

or something else.

I enjoyed this commercial. and yes, it made me think about, and even want, a toasty Quiznos sandwich.
